Position Overview

As our Events Marketer, you’ll be the mastermind behind Stay22’s presence at the biggest travel industry events and trade shows. You’ll own everything from crafting pre-event buzz to prepping the team to make magic happen on the show floor and driving value long after the event wraps up. The Events Marketer will manage Stay22’s presence at industry events, trade shows, and sponsorships. This includes pre-event planning, on-site execution, and post-event analysis to ensure alignment with marketing goals and sales objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coordinate logistics, align messaging, and track event ROI to position Stay22 as a leader in travel affiliate marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Event Planning and Coordination

  • Finalize sponsorship details (e.g., attendee passes, booth setup, sponsored dinners or drinks).
  • Research and evaluate event costs and deliverables to align with budgets.
  • Gather key information to support sales positioning (e.g., last year’s attendee list, market data).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify event targets and scope activities.
  • Coordinate with past event champions to optimize strategies and goals.
  • Work with the sales team (BDMs) to help set up meetings and maximize on-site opportunities.
  • Support social media pre-event marketing campaigns (e.g., “Are you attending this show?”).
  • Manage logistics: book flights, accommodations, and event materials for attendees.
  • Host one-month-out alignment meetings to:
    • Brief attendees on sponsorship details and expectations.
    • Provide insights from previous events.
    • Identify target attendees and ideal outcomes.
  • Assist and drive success for online events such as webinars, podcasts and industry related sessions.

Messaging and Collateral Development

  • Align with teams on event-specific messaging, focusing on key features, benefits, or initiatives.
  • Determine collateral needs (e.g., banners, 1-pagers, product materials).
  • Collaborate with leadership to brief attendees on new products, talking points, and announcements.
  • Drive awareness around product launches or initiatives announced at events.

Post-Event Analysis and Follow-Up

  • Lead event post-mortems to gather feedback:
    • Analyze outcomes: What worked? What can be improved? Should we return next year?
    • Assess ROI: successful deals, leads, and networking wins.
  • Coordinate follow-up communications with BDMs and marketing:
    • Support sales team follow-ups with personalized content.
    • Manage broader follow-up (e.g., emails, newsletters, and social media recaps).
  • Explore opportunities to secure post-show attendee lists for future targeting.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or related roles.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze event success and ROI to inform strategy.
  • Proficiency in tools like Excel, CRM platforms, and project management software.
  • Knowledge of the affiliate marketing or travel tech industry is a plus.
