Your role: Maintenance Technician / River Technician
As a valued member of the Le Boat team, you will play a key role in preparing our nautical base for the coming season. Your responsibilities will include receiving boats, winter preparations, spring commissioning, fall handling, and marine shop storage.
What you’ll do:
– Maintain our fleet to the highest standards for customer satisfaction and reliability.
– Ensure that the boats are in perfect condition.
– Follow the manufacturer’s maintenance schedules.
– Gain hands-on experience in the installation of electrical and mechanical equipment, including small fiberglass repairs (training provided).
– Work closely with the Chief Technician and Base Manager to effectively prioritize tasks.
– Be willing to travel to outside sites for emergency repairs.
– Participate in handling, commissioning, decommissioning, and gas bar operations as required.
– Take charge of the mechanical maintenance/repair of 36 and 45-foot fiberglass boats, by intervening on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical installations, propane and hydraulic connections.
What we are looking for:
Skills, experience, knowledge, qualifications and training
– Technical studies or practical experience related to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, water pumps or air conditioning repair and general maintenance.
– Previous experience in boat maintenance is a great advantage.
– A strong willingness to learn and improve technical skills.
– Ability to interpret specifications and installation instructions.
– Knowledge of marine engines and high-performance systems is a plus.
– Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
– Passion for boating and previous experience are welcome.
– Valid driver’s license.
– Ability to work on-site in Portiragnes, Occitanie, France.
– Fluency in English or French (additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, Dutch, or German are a bonus).
– Full eligibility to work in France.
