This is an exciting opportunity to join The Moorings, working in the British Virgin Islands, providing an efficient, fast, professional, and courteous service to all guests. Working across multiple outlets as part of the Provision, Food and Beverage team, you will be interacting day to day with a large amount of guests including holiday makers from across the globe. Working in this busy resort teamwork and flexibility is key to ensure operations run smoothly and that guests leave feeling that they received a 5-star service.

What you will be doing

• Receive, store & protect products from theft or deterioration.
• Ensure that entire deliveries arrive in good condition and have good expiry dates.
• Preparing food and beverage portions and pack in the appropriate containers.
• Ensuring that all food and beverage orders are accurately packed, scanned, delivered on time, and displayed on the boats nicely.
• Ensuring that raw, pre-cooked meals and dairy products are properly packed and used prior to their expiration dates.
• Ensuring that the “First in-First out” method of food and beverage storage and usage is always adhered to.
• Ensuring that intense cleaning is done daily in freezer, chilled & provision storage areas.
• Disposing of garbage when necessary.
• Ensuring equipment is always kept clean and in safe operating order.
• Conducting inventory counts.
• Ensuring all miscellaneous & spoilage forms are completed in a timely manner.
• Carry out any other duties that may be assigned to you by your manager.
• Assist when necessary with re-stocking of our retail store.

 What we are looking for

• Experience as a stock/produce/beverage handler or in a similar role in a high-level establishment.
• A well organised, professional working style with the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
• Food handler’s certificate.
• Ability to lift 40lbs and up weight.
• Approachable and a happy, smiley personality.
• Passionate about working in a resort & marina environment and for a growing, reputable travel company.
• Experience working with health and safety practices and procedures.
• A strong team player with the ability to work proactively and in a friendly manner with others, happy to take direction from superiors and adhere to it.
• Exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene on both a personal and professional level.
• Flexible approach to supporting in a wide variety of tasks.
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays and shift work as required including evenings.
