The main duties will centre around supporting the technical team to deliver an efficient purchasing and inventory service. Carry out administrative duties relating to the stores and related areas.

What you will be doing:

  • Track purchases from order to delivery.
  • Prepare invoices for receiving shipments.
  • Receive all incoming shipments, local and stateside purchases. Identify, tag and stock shelves.
  • Coordinate shipment documents with the customs broker.
  • Actively involved in ensuring the required level of parts are always in stock.
  • Monitor and control parts issues. Inform your supervisor of any wastage. Actively be involved in any control mechanism designed to avoid wastage.
  • Ensure that all items issued from the stores are recorded on a company requisition form, and submit a copy for data entry.
  • Perform any other duties related to stores as directed, such as:
    • Stcking shelves
    • Issuing parts ver the counter
    • Cleaning the stres and surrounding area
    • Off-lading goods
    • Fllowing up on parts issued for service calls
    • Participating in physical inventry counts
    • Handling utgoing shipments
  • Familiarizing yourself with company policies and procedures
  • In the event of a hurricane, you will be required to assist with the securing of the yachts and other properties.

The ideal candidate with have the following:

  • Ability to write and type well.
  • Working knowledge of other departmental functions and their relationships.
  • Ability to identify information & pass on same to the department supervisor enabling them to make cost effective decisions when ordering parts
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50lbs)
  • Must be familiar with customs clearance procedures
  • Ability to do manual inventory count with limited supervision
  • Punctual, meticulous and reliable
  • Energetic, embrace tasks willingly; willingness to learn new skills
  • Computer data entry; marine parts or yacht spares; excellent command of quality guest service
  • Courteous manners with the public
